He says that his source told him there was a warrant out for his arrest. He had the choice to either flee or stand and face the charges. He decided to do the latter in the interests of finally setting the record straight and living as a free man. He has already been acquitted by state charges (not sure which state). Now the charges are federal. He is being held without bail in the Ada County (Idaho) jail, has an attorney, and seeks a jury trial.
Steve Beckow has written two interesting posts on this clampdown of Brockbrader. I agree with Beckow that we need to do what we can to help this man who I am convinced speaks from his heart, and who has continued to give his life for his country after leaving the military — only not in a way that the PTB appreciates.
