Ann Kreilkamp, Ph.D., received a doctorate in philosophy from Boston University in 1972 and has been pushing personal, cultural and philosophical boundaries ever since. A professional astrologer for over 30 years, she is also a mother, grandmother, published author, editor, and social activist. For more on her and her work, see Tendre Press.

In 2007 she took the two-week Permaculture Design Course with teachers Peter Bane and Keith Johnson, who run the Permaculture Activist journal and live on their permaculture homestead two miles down the road in Bloomington, Indiana.

In 2007, she worked with others to establish a 10-year sustainability plan for her Green Acres Neighborhood that was based on the cultural permaculture design that she did with two others as their practicum for the PDC.

In 2009, she established the Green Acres Neighborhood Garden, a public garden on her own land. Also in 2009, she began to attend UFO conferences, and to read avidly in this highly politicized, disinformation-riddled, secretive, mind-bending, outrageous and wondrous field.

With this exopermaculture site, she hopes to bridge these two worlds within herself, to meet, share, and learn from others who explore the same split within themselves, and to crossfertilize the above with the below.

    Hi Ann
I am your cousin Ben’s new pal…. Marian Moore. And, as it happens, I also know Max Milton and Jacqui Pratt– with whom we have overlap….

ALl best– and happy thanksgiving. Marian

    • Amazing! What’s the story now, 4.7° of separation, rather than 6°? Glad to meet you, and maybe you and Ben will grace me presence here in Bloomington some day. Would love that. I’ve not made it up there, not yet.

Hi Ann, I been a bit side tracked in the last few months, with open heart surgery. I guess some hearts have to be opened forcefully before they really begin to work. I have finally experienced myself at a deeper level and can honestly say. Now I have a much better understanding of the physical-spiritual link, having discovered nutrition. I love the work you’re doing here and enjoyed the material I have just read and viewed, the Fantasy of World banking and the idea of downsizing the economy make perfect sense. I look forward to this input and thank you for bringing it to us. I really believe that people like you will make 2012 a great new beginning now matter how difficult it may be.

    • Dear Jay! I will connect with you and Suzy, if you are there, when I come to the UFO Congress in February. This time we MUST get together. February 22-26. Will you be there? What a heart-opening experience you have gone through.

Hi Ann. I feel as though I have just awakened to the many things that you talk about. My Question is, what do you do now that you know?

    • What is YOUR part in the great unfolding? Depends on how much of yourself you are aware of. I read a great quote the other day, and took note of it: “Not many people allow themselves the full extend of their complexity.” If you truly follow your astonishingly unique nature, then you fulfill your part in the dance of the universe.

Hello my friend and teacher from many moons ago. Your suggestions on how to survive as a scorpio have been invaluable. Thank you.

  6. What a heart warming and inspirational blog you have Ann. You live deeply from the spirit and that comes out in what you write. Thanks for being WHO YOU ARE !

    Dear Anne
Have just read ‘Beyond Saturn’. Very illuminating. I love reading your essays.

You said society tries to ignore or deny the third cycle, that of the Crone and perhaps, even just 10 years ago I would have agreed with you. However, now, I am beginning to see all around me the emerging dance of the Crone. It has becoming fashionable to have grey hair (admittedly from a bottle). I see reports of older women getting together and the reports are written with great respect.
Maybe it is because of my age (68) and what I feel and am creating in my reality, but as you say the process of real lasting change takes a LONG time.
Thank you for your insights – me at the centre surrounded by rings of knowing!
    Many blessings
    Joanna

Thanks, Joanna! And you’re right, even the AARP’s mag now demonstrates a bit more “wisdom.”

This is great and important work. I just wish you would jettison the astrology bit. Astrology is unscientific, even if it knows a lot about conjunctions and degrees of galactic positions. There is no scientific way to test the astrological hypothesis, and it is still an hypothesis. Go with the theories, my friend. You are on much more stable ground there. And you will reach a much wider audience…. Blessings, Michael in teh high desert of the American Southwest. PS: I took the second Permaculture Deign Course in the good ole US of A and helped organize the first three International Permaculture Conferences

    • Ann Kreilkamp says:

Hey, glad to see you here, and wow, how about looking at including astrology within permaculture? In the sense that the entire cosmic arena is Nature, and as we both know, Nature is our teacher.

Permaculture (on the ground permaculture, Earth-based permaculture) doesn’t ask for “scientific proof” to all of its methods, theories, etc. Why demand the same for astrology? Furthermore, “scientific proof” is a part of 3D reality, it defines its edges. What happens when we become multidimensional?

As a matter of fact, I tend to see astrology as a symbolic language, rather than as a belief system. So when people ask me, “Why do you believe in astrology?” I tend to respond with another question: “Why do you believe in English?”

Not interested in “reaching a larger audience” if it would mean censoring my own mind/heart/soul! After, all, as a double-Sagittarian (can’t resist referring to astrology here), what propels me is to seek and share “truth” wherever I find it, no matter how provisional— and it is always provisional! See section on this blog called “alt-epistemology.”
