I always saw Big Pharma as the handmaiden of Big Medicine. Actually, if this history is correct, it appears to be the other way around: Rockefeller created the “philanthropic” Rockefeller Foundation to fund Allopathic Medicine to push Big Pharma’s drugs. Get the reversal? But then there’s David Martin’s contention that Big Insurance came first, was “causal”; and maybe so. All I know is, if Big Pharma is in charge of Big Medicine, then no wonder I’ve never been inclined to take their drugs.
